The Gunleon is an original mecha from Super Robot Wars Z, piloted by Rand Travis and his partner Mail Beater, with Rand serving as the main pilot. Prior to the space-time distortion, Rand's teacher Siero was the primary pilot, with Rand as his apprentice and co-pilot.
Gunleon stands out as the first protagonist-level repair machine in Super Robot Wars history. Equipped with the versatile tool "Riot Jarench" and numerous other stored tools, Gunleon can repair anything from small machines to massive battleships. Additionally, it features a small living area inside, making it both a mobile repair shop and a home for its crew.
Due to its incredible power, Gunleon is often tasked with protecting the very machines it repairs, establishing itself as the most powerful recovery-type attacker in Super Robot Wars history. Rand's motto, “repair and destruction are only a sheet of paper apart,” reflects the philosophy of Bitter Service—the repair agency Gunleon represents.
