Tohdoh's Gekka differs from the Guren Mk-II in several ways, while remaining similar to a standard Gekka but with enhanced power output. It features black armor instead of red, and its head unit has been replaced with a monoptic model. Unlike the Guren Mk-II, it lacks a radiation emitter, and the cannon in the left arm has been replaced by an optional, fully automatic rifle. This rifle is capable of taking down both Knightmare Frames and faster-moving targets like missiles and airborne ordnance carriers.
The primary weapon of Tohdoh's Gekka is the Seidoutou (Brake Sword), a variant of the Katen Yaibatou. This elongated, heated chain-sword is designed to shear through enemy Knightmares more easily than conventional blades. The sword's handle is fitted with a mounted Slash Harken at the pommel, while the blade itself is equipped with several thrusters that allow manipulation of the slash's direction or even the movement of the Knightmare itself.
Additionally, Tohdoh's Gekka is equipped with a Chaff Smoke dispenser, which releases both chaff and a smokescreen. This system jams electronic equipment and disrupts visual tracking, making it ideal for stealthy retreats or evasive maneuvers in combat.
