Red Lion

The Red Lion, originally piloted by Alfor, serves as the right arm of Voltron. It is a fierce and agile Lion, embodying qualities of bravery and intensity. Initially hidden aboard Sendak's warship, it is discovered and reclaimed by the Paladins.

The new Red Paladin is Keith, who forms a strong bond with the Lion and pilots it during the team's early battles. However, following Emperor Zarkon's initial defeat and Shiro's mysterious disappearance, Keith is chosen by the Black Lion to become its pilot. In turn, the Red Lion selects Lance as its next Paladin, recognizing his growing maturity and ability to embody the traits the Lion values.

This shift highlights the adaptability of the Lions and their ability to choose Paladins based on their evolving qualities, ensuring the continued strength and unity of Voltron.
