The ART-1 was built as part of the RXR Project, which is a subset of the larger ReEOTH Plan, aimed at improving the stability and reliability of EOT (Extra-Over Technology) technology. This mecha represents the culmination of all currently available EOT knowledge, while also integrating data from various other mobile weapon development projects, including the R-Series, ATX Project, Huckebein Series, and Project TD.
Using the R-1 as its foundational body structure, the ART-1 is essentially an upgraded version of the R-1, featuring enhanced agility, improved weaponry, and more advanced telekinetic systems. While it lacks the combination system seen in the R-1, the ART-1 is fully capable of operating independently, delivering great performance in both its PT (Personal Trooper) mode and ART-Wing mode.
Only one ART-1 was ever constructed, and it was given a light-purple color scheme, distinguishing it from the R-1's traditional tricolor. This design choice reflects its status as a "prototype based on a prototype."
