  • VF-19 Excalibur Custom

    • Height15.48 m
    • Weight8.75 t
    • Pilot熱気バサラ

The VF-19F Excalibur was developed to phase out the aging VF-11B Thunderbolt, which had been in operation since A.D. 2040. However, due to its limited production number, only the most skilled and capable pilots were allowed to use it. Ray Lovelock, using his connections with the military aboard the 37th Long Distance Colony Fleet, procured a standard VF-19. He gave Basara Nekki free rein to modify the fighter as he saw fit, and soon, the "Fire Valkyrie" would play a major role in the evaluation and formal adoption for the Macross 7 fleet. Despite the presence of the military, the use of the Fire Valkyrie is still classified as a civilian unit and is frequently used during Fire Bomber concert events.

Like all adapted Varauta fighters, the Az-130 is a heavy variable vehicle armed with five fixed weapons, two gun pods, and six missile launchers. When deployed together, the Az-130 can launch devastating attacks, firing dozens of missiles each to create massive fusillades against the enemy. The Panzerzorene is also equipped with a spiritia absorption beam mounted on the right side of the head unit in Battroid mode. The heavy firepower and strong armor of the Panzerzorene provide a significant advantage in battle against lighter enemy units. However, as a larger variable vehicle, weighing some 15 metric tons, the Az-130 is slower to accelerate and less maneuverable than the UNS variable fighters.

  • FBz-99G Zaubergeran

    • Height22.95 m
    • Weight2.26 t
    • Pilotガビル

The FBz-99 features numerous missiles in six separate launchers with an additional six hard points, which can altogether accommodate in excess of 60 tons of ordnance. Though functioning as a bomber, the Saubergeran is also a variable fighter armed with two pulse guns in each lower arm and four anti-air beam guns mounted on the dorsal fuselage/shoulders. The missile launchers make the Saubergeran an incredibly dangerous variable fighter, capable of not only launching dozens of missiles simultaneously, but also repeating this attack with a large supply of ordnance.

The Heavy Battroid mode of the FBz-99, a huge Battroid over 22 meters tall, is very robust and can be difficult to damage quickly in battle without using heavy weapons. Unfortunately, because of its size and weight, the Saubergeran is not as fast or maneuverable as other variable fighters. However, the FBz-99G has four powerful engines (and two additional nozzles for Battroid mode) and can achieve orbit unaided. The FBz-99G also made use of a Sound Wave neutralization countermeasure that helped harden the fighter and provided some protection for the pilot against the Sound Energy of Sound Force. The Saubergeran was also equipped with a spiritia spark gun capable of draining spiritia and reinforcing mental control of Varauta pilots subjected to the Sound Force attack.
