Kouyou pilots Abaddon during the Fifth Operation Azure as part of the first team. The team arrives on the battlefield by rockets, breaking the shield surrounding the area. Abaddon dodges the enemy attacks and uses its SDP to defeat multiple enemies at once. Arriving at a crystallized forest, the team gets attacked by Specter and Abaddon clashes with it, mirroring Abaddon and Chronos using its SDP. Bought enough time for the rocket to get away, the enemies disappear, leaving the Fafners with nothing.
Abaddon interrupts Specter chasing Achilles and they fight each other with Specter copying Abaddon. They keep fighting until Specter retreats and Abaddon returns to Misao's boat to reunite with the others.
