Opening of the 2012 OVA series "Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199". The show is a remake of the first Space Battleship Yamato television series, known in the United States as Star Blazers. The song is basically just a modern re-recording of the original opening theme and it is performed by Isao Sasaki. The storyboard of this opening was done by Hideaki Anno (director of Neo Genesis Evangelion, Gunbuster and Nadia) as a tribute to the original opening of the 1974 series, which is Anno's favourite anime.
